BREAKING: Authorities Raising Up COVID-19 alerts to LEVEL 3 at Taipei Metropolitan Area until May 28 Due to Large Scale Outbreak This Week

According to the Business Next Media, the Executive Yuan and Central Epidemic Command Center, more than 200 domestic cases outbreak in Taiwan this week; most of them are founded in Taipei City, New Taipei City and Yilan County.

Prime Minister Su Tseng-chang with the head of Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) Chen Shih-chung confirmed during the afternoon that outbreak today with 180 domestic cases including 43 cases (almost 10% positive rate) happened nearby Wanhua area.

Earlier this week, Su Tseng-chang urged everyone to comply with CECC guidelines and follow all measures carefully. Disease prevention measures now been imposed country-wise on Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR, or Taiwan Shinkansen), Taiwan Railway, all Metro and bus systems and other means of public transit. Eating and drinking now be banned in certain venues and large halls, for instance, and plans to rent or borrow these venues will be suspended or postponed.

Today, the government have to raise the alerts into LEVEL THREE at Taipei City and New Taipei City in CECC's four-tier alert system, to take several preventative measures with neighborhood and communities. CECC also ask everyone please DO NOT do unnecessary travel between Level 2 and Level 3 zone.

For all citizens in Taiwan:

1. ALL venue for leisure and amusement SHOULD shut down immediately.
2. Suspend ALL public activities for religion purpose and worship.
3. Suspend the openness of ALL elementary and junior high schools.
4. Suspend ALL handover activities for societies and clubs.

Venue for leisure and amusement including:
Cabaret, Ballroom, Nightclub, Clubhouse, Bar, Public House and Winehouse, MTV, KTV, Massage Shop, Gym, Sauna, Bowling Alley, Billiard Room, Indoor Training Facilities, Arcade, Internet Cafe and so on.

In the LEVEL THREE AREA, all venues fellows should shut down immediately, including:

A. Exhibition hall, Theaters, Auditorium, Stadium, Community Center, Indoor Skating Rink, Indoor Swimming Pool, Amusement Park, Theme Park and so on.
B. Community College, Senior Citizen Learning/Meal Center, Training Course, Study Center, Library and so on.

In the LEVEL THREE with 9 lines of guidance, PLEASE:

1. WEAR MASK outdoor everywhere in your whole journey.
2. Suspend ALL unnecessary physical meeting and gathering.
3. STOP any family or social gathering with 5 peoples or more indoor and 10 peoples or more outdoor.
4. MONITOR yourself health status everyday. (If there is any symptom, please go to the doctor or call 1922)
5. KEEP social distance, wear the mask while you visit for business with crowd control.
6. Comply with the "Continuous Operation Guidance for Enterprise" issued by CECC, initiate your Work from Home or remote office plan from now on.
7. LEAVE your contact information in Restaurant and food stand, KEEP social distance while dining or we STRONGLY recommend you to CHOOSE take-out services.
8. LEAVE your contact information and KEEP social distance while you attend to wedding and funeral ceremony, and
9. STEP UP cleansing and disinfection for ALL public area and the transportation system.

For Medical System in Level 3 zone:

1. Suspend ALL NONURGENT operation, treatment and physical checkup.
2. Set up MORE SPECIFIC purpose care unit/ward.
3. Set up clear guidelines on infection control and in dealing with suspected and confirmed cases, and
4. Set up outdoor screening facilities
5. Adapting remote work technology on clinic trials

CECC recommend all citizens to install contact tracing app published by the government official

All Taiwan citizens also be encouraged by CECC to use contact tracing app: Taiwan Social Distance as COVID-19 cases rise.

When an app user is confirmed to have COVID-19, the health authority will upload related data after obtaining consent from the confirmed case, and the app will automatically send alerts to app users who have come into contact with the confirmed case in the past 14 days so as to remind them to monitor their health status.
